Do your muscles seem to take forever to recover from soreness? And does that soreness prevent you from being able to work out regularly? Chances are you can dramatically decrease the time your muscles are sore with simple rolling techniques. Foam rolling increases flexibility and blood flow to your tight muscles, sort of like a massage. Foam rolling is a great substitute between massages, and you can do it in less than 10 minutes. In fact, foam rolling is a workout in itself. You are planking over the roller to control the pressure on your muscles. Or sometimes you need to do a side plank to stretch your IT-Band slowly. This is all working the core at the same time! The best part of foam rolling is you can both stretch and strengthen nearly all of your muscles, including your spinal muscles and triceps. You can also stretch your chest using the roller. Unfortunately, you can also do it incorrectly and mistakenly injure yourself. That’s why I created this short class for my clients. Just like in yoga, by making tiny adjustments to your form, you’ll see a huge difference to the outcome. With just one 30-minute session I’ll show you the techniques for all of the muscle groups, so you can feel confident you’re doing it correctly, and dramatically decrease your recovery time.
